My name is Jim Goding, and I highly value my privacy.
Though I am happy to help people, which is the purpose of this website, I also do not want to have a lot of calls and letters not directly related to its subject, because these tend to interfere, break up my day, and blow my concentration. I am a writer by trade, and if my concentration gets blown, I can lose half or more of a day. I am still having to make a living, just like you.
If you are directly interested in commissioning me for a casino training program, please contact me through this email: consultant@casinosurveillancenews.com
If you have questions not directly related to casino surveillance or security training programs, please contact me at this address: mjconbus@gmail.com
If you have a question, I will be more than happy to help. However, I do not answer phone calls, so I haven’t given my number. My number is on a do-not-call list with the Fed, which means I don’t allow solicitation calls.

I want to thank the blogger very much not only for this post but also for his all previous efforts. I found http://www.casinosurveillancetraining.com to be very interesting. I will be coming back to http://www.casinosurveillancetraining.com for more information.
Couldn’t have said it better. Nice to see someone who knows what they’re talking about.
interested in your training program can you please contact me for more info.
Dear Jim: I, like your self, am a consultant and expert witness in the casino industry and, in fact, reside in Las Vegas. My first experience was shortly following the Kline vs. 1500 Massachusettes avenue case in 1972 when a law firm in Las Vegas contacted me in Beverly Hills, California to assist them in defending Caesars Palace hotel. I have been engaged in that discipline ever since with the exception of the time spent in my law enforcemenet career. Incidentally, I am also a P.O.S.T. certified instructor at the Las Vegas Metropolitan, In Service, Police Academy, where I teach officers how to testify in court. I developed the class while with L.A.P.D. during the O.J. Simpson trial, after seeing what happend to our officers on the stand.
I am curently engaged in a research project, attempting to assertain the “real” level of violent crimes and events occurring in las vegas casinos over the years. I have been made aware of the degree of “cover-up” the casinos have been engaged in for many years. As a matter of fact, many of the items listed on Google that appear to have relevance, have been rendered “unable to download”. I can understand the position of the casinos and have defended many of them as well as being on the plaintiff’s side. I do keep my practice on approximately 50/50 basis so as not be be associated with either side and thus considered a “hired gun”. If you have read any of my books or articles, you will know that I have fought the “hired gun” community, tooth and nail, for many years.
If you have any data relating to the issue of violent conduct by: patrons, walk in guests, employees, etc. I would very much like to speak to you. Any significent level of criminal activity along those lines would, or course, effect the level of training the security officers “should” receive.
Thank you,

Mr. Berger, thank you for the actually coherent and relevant comment. I cannot comment online regarding anything I may have seen, due to NDAs signed for each casino where I have worked. I can say that I have incorporated some of the experiences of myself and others into the training I do for both Surveillance and Security in the casinos. Though not a “hired gun,” my main concentration has always been on protecting the officers concerned, as well as the casinos, by training officers to understand the liabilities involved in their positions. Most seems to be ignorant. The worst are “wannabe” cops with distorted ideas of what their position entail, or what it empowers them to do. Most are totally ignorant, at least for the first couple years of experience, in the difference between the responsibilities and allowed activities of Security and police officers.
Surveillance personnel I train to gather the evidence, whether the casino is at fault or not, because if the evidence is recorded over or otherwise destroyed, it places the casino at risk because of court-imposed sanctions, and of course if this happens the casino will fire the agents concerned if only for CYA purposes. This is not theoretical.
Hi, Good content throughout the site. This page is probably where I got the most useful information for my information gathering. Thanks for posting, maybe we can see more on this. Are you aware of any other websites on this subject
